There are many areas for service at Lambuth Memorial. Within our church we have:
The Society of Stephen
A group offering assistance to those in the community in crisis situations with food from our food pantry.
The Giving Tree
Our church members purchase and place under the "tree" basic supplies for a different community service agency each month. The suggestions are paper-clipped to the leaves of the tree.
Tape Ministry
Volunteers copy and deliver tapes
of the Sunday worship service to the homebound each Monday.
Preschool Center
Many members volunteer at the Center to relieve and support the Staff and help with painting and simple repairs.
Work projects at the church
Volunteers painted most of the building and cleaned out closets and cabinets in preparation for the 125 anniversary.
Blood donation
Meals on Wheels are delivered by some of our members.
Community time for neighborhood children in the gym
Member volunteers help the staff with games and activities.
Lambuth University Freshman Orientation
Help with bags and hand out literature on arrival day; have a Freshman Party in the gym with food, prizes and lots of fun.
Provide meeting places for local groups such as:
Altrusa Club and others needing meeting space
Lambuth social groups needing practice space
Through our giving to the United Methodist Church we support projects, education, missions and service world wide.
