x weeks through five years old. Our preschool center, which opened in 1967, is a ministry of Lambuth Memorial United Methodist Church. We also exceed licensing requirements set by the State of Tennessee.

Convenient
We are open from 6:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. During the summer, we accept elementary-age children. We are conveniently located at 160 Campbell Street, close to Lambuth University, downtown Jackson, and Jackson-Madison County General Hospital and the surrounding medical community.
Outstanding Program
At Lambuth Memorial Preschool, children are part of a nurturing, learning environment that has an excellent teacher/student ratio. That ratio exceeds requirements for state licensing.
The curriculum develops the whole child and features emergent literacy. The child¹s day includes planned learning experiences that are appropriate for the child¹s age, such as block building, reading stories, art and painting, dress-up and active outdoor play. We do our best to accommodate children with special needs. Children bring a sack lunch each day; we provide nutritious snacks and drinks.
Our age-appropriate playgrounds have separate play areas for infants and older children.
Excellent Staff
Our teachers and staff are warm and caring people who like spending time with young children. The staff is mature and stable. They have years of experience at this facility, and training and education in child development. Our music teacher, who has been with us since 1994, has a masters degree and certification in music therapy. Our staff is certified in CPR, first aid and personal safety. Each staff member completes at least 18 hours of continuing education every year.
