Sunday School

Adult Sunday School Classes
This is a list of Adult Sunday School Classes, there is also children classes and a Middle High and Senior High Youth class.  For more information on the youth, please click here.  Perhaps one of these classes will meet your special needs for prayer, study and fellowship.

All Sunday School classes begin at 9:00 A.M.

The Logos Class
Our first commitment is to knowing the Scriptures as completely as possible. Rather than try to make the Bible fit our story, we try to learn to inhabit its story. The lessons are based on the latest Biblical scholarship combined with the orthodox teachings of the Church throughout history. We regularly wrestle with difficult theological questions, and we try to be humble and open-minded while seeking to bring all thoughts captive to Christ.

The Cornerstone Class consists of young adult singles and married couples with young children. They are committed to serving the church and families in need. They foster further Christian growth through special service projects.

The Contemporary Women's Class meets in the church library and includes women of all ages and from diverse family situations. They discuss contemporary issues from a Biblical perspective.

The Fellowship Class is an eclectic group of friends with a wide range of interests. They range in age from thirty to fifty years, mainly couples, but they welcome singles. Many of the members of this class help as Sunday School and Youth leaders.

The Phillips Class is a mixture of singles and couples, mostly middle to senior in age. They sponsor a Potato Luncheon yearly as a fund raiser for our Pre-School and also help a child at Reelfoot Rural Ministries.

The Oxley Class began in 1951. Many of the present class members were present at the original meeting. They help support a child at Reelfoot Rural Ministries, five a scholarship each year to a student at Lambuth University and give support to the Salvation Army and the West Tennessee Cerebral Palsy Telethon.

The Memorial Class started in 1945. It is a group of mature members with a focus on Bible study centered lessons. They have many outreach projects, including Meals on Wheels and a yearly auction that provides donations for many worthy causes.
