Opening Prayer

Leader: O God, whose will is justice for the poor and peace for the afflicted, let

your servant’s urgent voice pierce our hardened hearts and announce the

dawn of your kingdom.

People: As we approach the One who baptizes with the fire of the Holy Spirit,

let our complacency give way to conversion, our oppression give way

to justice, and our conflicts to acceptance of one another in Christ.

All: We ask this through the One whose presence is certain in our lives;

whose gift of grace is our salvation, Your Son, Our Lord and Savior Jesus

Christ; who reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, One God now and

forever. Amen.

This Tuesday, August 17, from 4-9 PM will be Lakeshore Night at Jason’s Deli. Lakeshore will receive 10% of the profits for all items sold during this time.

The Intentional Faith Development Team invites you to Family Nights beginning Wednesday, September 8. Volunteers are needed to help with food, children’s programming and small group facilitators. Contact Virginia Bean or Joyce Tackett to help.

LEFT (Lambuth Elementary Fellowship Time) starts back on Sunday, September 12. LEFT is for all children K-5^th grade. We meet Sunday nights from 5-7PM.
